Fleet Updates: Arik Air, Tunisair, Air Algérie, Aeolus Air, Comair boost operations with news jets!

The following is a fleet update bulletin for aircraft that are in use, have been in use or will be in use for these listed airlines: Arik Air (W3), Tunisair (TU), Air Algérie (AH), Aeolus Air (AAZ) and Comair South Africa.

B737 Max
Arik Air has taken delivery of its first of two A330-200s (MCN 891 | 5N-JIC). In a statement to mark the event, Arik said "this latest addition to the fleet marks the first of four A330 aircraft due to be delivered over the coming year."

Tunisair (TU) will this summer wet-lease an A310-300 (MCN 565 | CS-TEX) from Portuguese ACMI specialists, Hi Fly (5K). The aircraft will supplement its fleet during the anticipated high season which this year coincides with the Hajj.


Similarly, Air Algérie (AH) has taken delivery of an A320-200 (MCN 528 | LY-COM), on wet-lease from Lithuania's Avion Express (X9). Additionally, a Hi Fly (5K) A330-200, (MCN 262 | CS-TQW), has also been leased. Both aircraft will supplement the Algerian national carrier's fleet in the anticipation of a busy Summer which this year, will coincide with the Hajj season.

Ariana Afghan Airlines (FG) recently took delivery of an Airbus A320-200, (MCN 424 | C5-AAR), on wet-lease from Gambian ACMI specialists, Aeolus Air (AAZ).

Comair Ltd South Africa will likely renegotiate "at least some" of its eight B737-800s options signed with Boeing in 2011 for LCC, kulula , into MAX commitments, CEO Erik Venter has said.
