Pakistan's Shaheen International up for sale.

Shaheen Air International is reportedly up for sale. The move likely comes as a consequence of the death last year of its chairman, Mr Khalid Sehbai, which has subsequently left the company rudderless.

According to Pakistani commentators, local mega-conglomerate, Tabani Group, the former owners of the now defunct, Aero Asia International, and nascent domestic carrier, Air Indus, are said to be among the top contenders.

In addition to its strong domestic network, Shaheen operates flights to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Iran using a fleet of seven A320-200s, three A330-300s and nine B737-400s.
