Air Canada to use current Airbus narrowbody fleet 'til end of decade

Air Canada says it plans to continue flying its fleet of thirty-six A319-100s, forty-one A320-200s and ten A321-200s "for as long as possible" before considering a replacement order.

Responding to questions on the topic at the recent the CIBC World Markets Eastern Institutional Investor Conference in Montreal, airline chief financial officer, Michael Rousseau, said any commitments would not begin until later in the decade adding that Air Canada would "push" the aircraft to their full limit before considering a new order.

Canadian market analysts had pipped the national carrier as a strong potential customer for the latest Bombardier offering, the recently airborne CS100.
