Republic, Indigo talks over Frontier reach impasse

Republic Airlines and Phoenix-based investment firm, Indigo Partners, have reportedly reached an impasse in their talks over the latter's acquisition of ailing.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, negotiations between Republic and Indigo have stalled over a complex dispute which centres on two core issues namely which trade union is to represent Frontier’s pilots and the validity of the agreement pertaining to the equity stakes in Frontier. 

As announced previously, Republic has extended the deadline for a deal to be reached with Indigo to September 30.
