Ryanair holds "fruitful" talks with Boeing over B737 MAX

Ryanair Chief Financial Officer, Howard Millar, says his airline's view of the B737 MAX project is "positive" following fruitful talks with Boeing for a possible order for 200 of the type.

In June this year, the Irish LCC said while it would place an order before year end though it would not need the planes to enter service until 2018 or 2019. According to RTE, among the modifications Ryanair is pursuing the possibility of removing one of the Max's rear toilets in order to fit an extra 11 seats thereby allowing the airline to reach its ideal seating capacity of 200. Currently, the airline operates 303 B737-800s.
