SpiceJet flight makes emergency landing in Tamil Nadu

Indian low-cost carrier, SpiceJet, made an emergency landing a short while ago, with Indian media reporting that smoke was seen coming from the engine.

The plane landed in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu earlier in the morning. Reports stated that fire trucks were on the scene to control the situation.

IBN Live has reported that all 72 passengers who were on board the flight have been evacuated safely, with the carrier cancelling its return flight to Chennai.
