According to TourismUpdate, the defunct LCC's licences have now been terminated and liquidators are now waiting for the Master of the High Court to schedule a meeting with creditors regarding any outstanding claims.
Meanwhile, PAK Africa Aviation is still awaiting a ruling by the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) regarding its planned purchase of the 1Time name and brand. Pak Africa Director, Tabassum Abdul Qadir, said that a final decision is expected month end with the airline's joint venture with Central Air Transport Services in Zimbabwe, dubbed 1time Zimbabwe, on course to launch, in December instead of October as previously anticipated.
He noted that leases and all contractual obligations linked to launching the airline are also in the final phases. The South African Department of Transportation, has however warned that PAK had yet to provide the Air Services Licencing Council with proof of a consumer guarantee, needed to secure a domestic operator's licence
