Lack of demand forces MetJet to cease operations from late October

MetJet is to cease all flight operations with effect from October 26, 2013. In a statement issued, all flights operated as a public charter under the "MetJet" name into and out of Green Bay, Fort Myers Southwest Florida,Cancún, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Orlando Int'l.

According to MetJet CEO Michael Heisman, “it is clear that we do not have enough demand, or customers, to continue operating. It is with deep regret that we make this difficult decision that affects our families, friends, neighbors and the community as a whole.” Sun Country Airlines had operated aircraft on behalf of MetJet.
