#NBAA13: Viking and Wipaire deliver first VIP interior for Twin Otter

Viking Air Limited of Victoria, BC, Canada and Factory Endorsed Service Center partner, Wipaire, Inc. of South Saint Paul, Minnesota, have delivered the first Viking Twin Otter Series 400 equipped with a custom Wipaire executive interior.

The aircraft, belonging to an undisclosed customer, features an executive four-place club seating arrangement with an additional 12 standard seats. The executive interior also includes a custom headliner system, as well as custom fabricated sidewall and PSU panels.

Interior options include installation of wall-mounted passenger radio jacks, data ports,
auxiliary audio inputs for each passenger, custom hard wall materials and carpeting.

The aircraft is also equipped with Wipline 13000 amphibious floats and a custom airbrushed graphic paint scheme, available for viewing on aircraft static display during the 2013 NBAA annual convention.

Wipaire has been engineering and manufacturing floats for more than 50 years, including the Wipline model 13000 floats certified for the Viking Series 400 Twin Otter, and has engineered several Supplemental Type Certified modifications for legacy Twin Otters. Wipaire offers maintenance, repair, VIP interior design and installation, and exterior paint refinishing for Twin Otter owners.

With Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft are in operation in 16 countries and a the company boasts a backlog exceeding $400 million, according to officials. Viking provides OEM support for the worldwide fleet of de Havilland legacy aircraft (DHC-1 through DHC-7).
