Cathay Pacific could order as many as twenty-five B777Xs from Boeing, financial newswire Bloomberg says. The Hong Kong based carrier has also ordered twenty-two A350-900s and twenty-six A350-1000s to replace its B747-400s and older B777-300s.
Quoting unnamed sources, the report says the US manufacturer is in talks with Emirates for 100-150 B777Xs, thirty for Etihad Airways and, contrary to CEO Akbar al-Baker's comments that nothing was known about the aircraft, fifty for Qatar Airways. A potential order is expected to be placed at the upcoming Dubai Airshow.
