Palm Beach County tourism officials have been trying to get this route scheduled for more than a year. News Channel 5 spoke with passengers headed to Los Angeles who said they're excited about the new direct flight and plan on using it more in the future.
“It's a much faster trip to get directly there. It probably saves me a couple hours in a day,” said Michael Johnson, who was traveling to central California. Tourism experts said the daily non-stop route will bring 23,000 tourists to our area each year, pumping $29 million into the local economy.
