Amaszonas launches its longest route so far to Asuncion

Amaszonas of Bolivia has added another international route to its network with the addition of thrice-weekly flights between Santa Cruz (VVI) and Asuncion (ASU) in Paraguay.
The airline’s operations on the 1,020-kilometre route began on 20 November using 50-seat CRJ 200s. Competition on the route is provided by TAM Airlines, who operate four weekly flights using larger A320s. Amaszonas now operates on 20 mostly domestic routes, generating almost 400 weekly flights.

Before last week the airline’s longest route was the 670-kilometre domestic route from La Paz to Tarija.
