Lufthansa Technik, Spirit AeroSystems Forge Alliance

Spirit AeroSystems and Lufthansa Technik have entered into a multi-year cooperation agreement for the joint provision of repair, overhaul and supply services for the CFM56-7B and GE90-94/-115 thrust reversers and cowlings operated by Lufthansa Technik’s customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 

Under the terms of the agreement, Lufthansa Technik and Spirit AeroSystems will use each other’s repair facilities and capabilities in that region as well as other support elements of the other’s respective repair and overhaul services.

Spirit AeroSystems will supply thrust reverser, fuselage and wing components to Lufthansa Technik.
“The deployment of rotable assets and collaboration in key markets is part of our global growth initiatives,” said a Spirit AeroSystems spokesman.

Spirit’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components. Additionally, Spirit provides aftermarket customer support services such as parts, maintenance/repair/overhaul in North America, Europe and Asia.
