Saudia commences first ever flights to Canada

Saudia has launched its first ever flights to Canada, with the introduction of flights from Riyadh (RUH) to Toronto Pearson (YYZ), operating via Jeddah (JED).

The thrice-weekly service (Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays) will be flown with the airline’s 777-200ERs, which are needed as the route (from Jeddah) is almost 10,500 kilometres long. This makes it longer than the airline’s service to New York (10,260 kilometres), but still just short of the airline’s longest route to Washington Dulles, which clocks in at 10,630 kilometres. Check here to see how Toronto’s welcoming water cannon salute performed in our weekly competition.
